Agape House is created to provide a vast array of ministerial and human services and programs for individuals and families in the Prince George’s County, Maryland, and surrounding metropolitan area. Like the other components of Rich Robes Ministries Incorporated, Agape House will be dependent on publicly and privately funded grants as well as the financial support of caring individuals and groups within the community. With these resources, we will sponsor and promote programs and events that ensure a strong sense of family. Our intent is to have an impact in the community on issues such as child abuse, domestic abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual abuse, substance abuse, abandonment, homelessness, pregnancy, gangs, or other circumstances which constitute a personal crisis in the lives of men, women, and children. By helping the body of Christ model biblically based solutions to problems and promoting healing where damage has occurred, we hope to build healthy relationships and strong families.
Our vision is to have Agape Houses strategically located throughout Prince George’s County, Maryland, and the surrounding metropolitan area. The houses will provide a loving and accepting, family oriented environment in which the love of Christ can minister to the physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs of family members. Resources and support will be provided to men, women, and children as they empower themselves and one another in their pursuit of individual and collective goals. It will consist of Dayspring Christian Counseling, Martha’s Room, Esther’s Closet, Sonshine Recreation, and Anna’s Prayer Closet.
